This blog primarily contains commentaries I have written and pictures I have taken on the construction of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP). The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project is an extension of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Metrorail transit system in Northern Virginia, USA.
The project branches from the K Route Orange Line east of the West Falls Church station to Ashburn Virginia. The line passes through Tysons Corner on its way to Washington Dulles International Airport and beyond to Ashburn. The Project is 23 miles long with 11 stations and is being built in 2 phases. The first phase will have 5 stations, 4 serving Tysons Corner with the 5th at Wiehle Avenue on the east side of Reston. The second phase will have 6 stations, 3 stations between Wiehle Avenue and Washington Dulles International Airport and 2 north of the airport.
